Unexpected Opportunities

Scooby Doo

We just got some recent and somewhat exciting news within the voice acting industry. If you love Marvel or Scooby Doo then you should be pretty pumped about this news. Marvel actress Ming-Na Wen just recently posted on her Twitter that she has started to work on a new voice acting project which just so happens to be Scooby Holiday Haunt. This means we will officially be getting another scoob movie coming off the original in 2020.

Now I’m not here to talk about the upcoming movie, but I can say I’m pretty excited for it. I actually wanted to talk about how this is a great example of being multifaceted in the voice acting world. Ming-Na Wen Has done many live acting and voice acting roles throughout her lifetime, and this made me think of a very important rule to keep in mind. You don’t ever have to just stick to voice acting. You should find many niches to join. You should do many things like taking up acting roles, PA roles, and many other things. It is important to find all the things you love. Voice acting may not be what you get famous for. You may gain notoriety for live action rolls or even directing small films, but don’t let that get you down because any fame is good fame.

Another thing this has made me think about is some people get discouraged because of the size of their roll. I can understand where they are coming from, but don’t forget some people make a living off of background voices. I guess the message that I am trying to get across today is simply to make sure you love what you are doing. You don’t have to be a mega star to love what you are doing, but if you don’t love what you are doing then you should reevaluate. As always you can leave question here or on my Twitter, and have a wonderful day.
